What is Ananth Chaturdashi:

Ananth Chaturdashi (or Anant Chaturdashi) is the last day of great Hindu's festival Ganesh festival or Ganeshotsav or Ganesh Chaturthi. It is the tenth day after Ganesh Chaturthi which falls on the 14th day of the bright Bhadrapada (the sixth month of Hindu calendar). On this day Lord Anant or Vishnu is worshiped by people.

History of Ananth Chaturdashi:

On the way beside a river, Sushila see women's to praying someone. She asked women and know that they were praying Lord Anant. She also get Knowledge and process of this vrat and worship step. She also started this Vrata and Puja to make Happy the god of Wealth and prosperity. In little span of time they get rich and lived happily.

On Ananth Chaturdashi day:

Anant Chaturdashi is the day of lord Vishnu, lord Shesh(Snake) and goddess yamuna. People specially women's celebrate this festival by keep fasting. They cook "Gharga"(Made by Floor) and "Anarse" and give half to Brahmin. Snakes of Grass is prepared and colored with Kumkum. A string of silk is served at front of him. After that silk thread is tied around the left hand of women and right hand of men. This tread is the bless and prosperity signature of God Anant.

The festival of Ananth Chaturdashi enthusiastically celebrated all over India. On this day, the idols of Lord Ganesh installed at home and various "Mandapas" are taken to a pond, lake, river or a sea in great procession with slogan: "Ganpati bappa morya, Agle baras tu jaldi aa"(Father Ganpati, come again next year). People travel to the water front with the idols, big and small, dancing and singing in large procession. The 10 day long festival comes to an end after the immersion ceremony is over.
